About The Site
This weblog is dedicated to my Mom, who late in life decided she needed a laptop computer to keep up with everyone by email and to do a little light web surfing. The laptop was for their go-go active lifestyle and traveling the United States in the Dodge Cummins Pickup pulling the travel trailer to remote locations.
She can write her emails in the comfort of her trailer and then head up to the RV Park office to use a telephone line to dial in to People PC for Internet. Once connected, she can send all the mail she has written and recieve the new mail for reading at her leisure back in the trailer.
The nomad lifestyle seems to fit her as long as she can keep in touch with family and friends.
I will not say it has not been a challenge, but I will say it has be a great deal of fun helping Mom with her problems and troubleshooting different issues. I think I have talked to her more in the last year than in the previous 5 years. Now that may not be a positive revelation, but it is probably true.
