Top Blogs On Google Reader

Monday, October 15th, 2007

Google started releasing their feed numbers yesterday, and by today, we have a list of the top blogs subscribed on Google Reader. The list at Tech Crunch shows sixty-three blogs, and I’m a little disappointed for a couple of reasons.
First, None of my blogs are on the list.
Second, I read two blogs listed out [...]

Return of Off-Line Blogging Software Challenge

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

A year ago, I reviewed three different off-line blogging software applications. They were, Qumana, BlogDesk, and Blog Writer. A year ago, I chose Blog Writer as the winner. Since that time, I have changed my mind, and no longer use Blog Writer.
I discovered that some blogging software (including Blog Writer) uses Microsoft Internet Explorer [...]

Dave’s stuck in a cul-de-sac

Friday, May 4th, 2007

Dave at B2Blog writes about his personal experience with The Dip as written about by Seth Godin. I didn’t quote the best part of Dave’s article, you’ll have to click over to see the list of choices we have when we get stuck. He pretty much covers all the avenues.
B2Blog: Writer’s Dip: stuck in a [...]

A Week for Reflection on Blogging

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

The last week has been filled with people noting their blogging anniversaries including pertinent information from that time period. It got me to thinking about my blogging experience.
I started gathering information from the different locations I can still access. I wrote my first article in May 2004 at What a Country on Blogger.com, which [...]

Seth’s Blog: Where do you park?

Wednesday, March 7th, 2007

Today I was struck by the irony of it all. Reading Seth’s blog, he tells a story about a bank manager hogging the close parking spaces in front of the bank. I thought I would leave a quick comment on the blog about a similar story I witnessed a few years ago. There’s one big [...]

Interviewed by Josh Hinds

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Earlier in the week Josh Hinds, GetMotivation, emailed to ask if I would do a three question written interview for his Business Networking Advice website. (Who Me?) Mike Sansone from ConverStations had suggested my name as a possible victim interviewee.
I have to admit, answering three questions sounded like a breeze. No pressure, get back to [...]

The Mark Twain Guide to Better Blogging

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

Brian Clark at copyblogger has an article applying Mark Twain quotes to today’s blogging world, and with great skill. In fact, he feels the Twain would be a blogging guru today and I must agree.
Mark Twain is know for his biting wit, and would have no doubt provided hours of wonderful reading material at [...]

WordPress Pages: Exploring the Pseudo-Static Pages of WordPress

Friday, November 10th, 2006

I really like this article at Lorelle on Wordpress, because it covers the details without getting all caught up in the techno-babble. The difference in Posts and Pages are explained extremely well for those that enjoy primers on Wordpress and explains how even pages are truly dynamic, rather than static … even though they don’t [...]
