Skype’s Shallow Apology

By Larry Hendrick | August 22, 2007

skypepage.jpgI find it odd, as a paying Skype user, they would leave out one class of user from their latest apology maneuver. Here is part of the email sent out to users, including me.

As a goodwill gesture to all you faithful Skype Pro, Skype Unlimited, SkypeIn or Skype Voicemail customers, we’re adding an additional seven days to your current subscription, free of charge.  And even if you didn’t miss out on using Skype last week - you can still have a week free on Skype, on the house!

As a paid SkypeOut subscriber, I was without service the same as the above listed users were. My outgoing business line was useless for multiple days, so why would they leave  me out of their apologetic freebie? The total cost to include my service in the free week is $.57. Not a lot in the light of what I had to go through to get by those days.

If someone has an answer, please share.
