Shelby GT500 Super Snakes
Monday, April 30th, 2007Ford had raised the bar again in the high-tech horsepower war. GM and Chrysler Corp have yet to release their competing Camaro and Challenger models, and Ford is planting the challenge flag squarely on the race track. This is the type of HP wars witnessed in the late 60s early 70s. Oh boy!

Are WiFi Radio Waves Frying Our Brains?
Tuesday, April 24th, 2007I have read several articles about people that claim WiFi makes them sick. I am not sure how much validity their claims have, but enough is happening now that it raises concern.
This article out of the UK brings WiFi and Cellular into the same camp, citing the increased likelyhood of brain tumors for heavy cell [...]
Muni WiFi Subsidies = Financial Disaster
Monday, April 23rd, 2007Financial Disaster is the conclusion of this ninety page report from a study on municipal Internet initiatives. That seems fairly clear.
This study looks at all the forms of municipal broadband Internet access, including self-financed WiFi, and private/public partnerships, such as Earthlink and name any city.
It contains too much information for me to even comment on, [...]
WiFi Security Exploited for Demonstration
Monday, April 23rd, 2007WiFi technology has one great big problem, and exploiting that problem is getting easier, thanks to current hacker tools. The LA Times enlisted the help of Humphrey Cheung to visit a coffee shop and see what information he could sniff.

Shelby GT500 Gets Red Stripe Treatment

I love the white/blue stripe and the red/black stripe, but the black/white/red stripe doesn’t do it for me. I’m not sure why, but maybe it’s because it seems to try to hard for cool.
Ford readies Shelby [...]

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007Today, the City of Houston considers the $2.5 million dollar payment to Earthlink for access to the proposed Muni WiFi network. Since the City Council approved the original idea, there is no reason to believe they won’t approve the money.
Yesterday, the Houston Chronicle had an article about this meeting and the quote I featured below [...]
Deju Vu—The Ford Shelby GT500KR
Wednesday, April 4th, 2007As the great readers of Business Unusual know, I am lusting after the Shelby GT500. Now a new Mustang is introduced that moves the horsepower up another notch, 540bph. Oh My!
I may have to review and rethink my position on this whole GT500 issue. The ground effects on the new KR are a lot different, [...]
Houston’s Muni WiFi FREE! (not!)
Monday, April 2nd, 2007Ann Linehan, with blogHouston, discovered that the City of Houston has redefined the word free. Free now means $2.5 Million.
You need to read Ann’s Sunday article to believe it.
UPDATE: look at item 24 on the City agenda, linked from Ann’s article.
