Heat of Summer Blog Carnival Contest Over!
By Larry Hendrick | September 3, 2006
The Heat of Summer Blog Carnival Contest is officially over and the results are in from the voting here at Business Unusual. It was hotly contested with only two (2) votes separating first and second place. That is truly amazing that after seven days of voting, it comes down to two votes. In fact, it was so close that only four (4) votes separated First Place from Also Ran.
You folks are fantastic for participating in this aside from all the seriousness that is life. I hope you enjoyed reading the articles and found a few more websites to bookmark. I have.
Without further ado, here is the list of nominees for “Most Colorful use of Adjectives.” They are listed in no particular order.
- What is Marital Kissing, You Ask?
- Do Not all Charms Fly? Derek Jeter’s Transient Moment
- Grammar Gaffe Friday
AND THE WINNER IS …
Grammar Gaffe Friday from Heather L. Hunter and her website, This Fish Needs a Bicycle. I present you with the Crown of Excellence for your wonderful participation in our little contest and you will be contacted shortly about your fabulous prize package.
Heather, congratulations for your victory and I, for one, look forward to continued articles that please the brain with great superlatives and wonderful adjectives. That is what the perfect element for drawing word pictures for your audience is all about. Great Job!
