Challenge Takes ‘The Economist’ by ‘Steorn’
By Larry Hendrick | August 20, 2006
Sometimes a story comes along that everyone wants to believe, and this is such a time. Steorn claims to have developed a system of magnitism that delivers a “perpetual motion” machine. They have thrown down the gauntlet and await all challengers to prove or disprove their claim.
Is the technology real? Only time will tell, but it does seem to defy the very fabric of physics and if true, will shatter the basic upon which most science is built. This is an interesting story to watch over the coming weeks and months.

According to Steorn the technology is based on the interaction of magnetic fields and allows the production of clean, free and constant energy. The technology can be scaled to virtually all devices requiring energy, from cellular phones to cars.
Assuming their claims can be validated, Steorn intends to license its technology to organizations within the energy sector. It will allow use of its technology royalty-free for certain purposes including water and rural electrification projects in Third World countries.
