For some time now, I felt as if I were a lone voice crying in the wilderness. Today a commentary in Technology News, by Sonia Arrison, covers a lot of the same information I have been writing about for a while, and does so in a clear and concise manner. Congress is abuzz with telecom reform, and the players and issues are many. While it can seem complex to the outsider, ultimately the core issue is simple. If government substitutes its political decisions for those of consumers and businesses in the marketplace, the Internet will be frozen out of the future. If the government decides to regulate lightly, we will all get the next-gen Net that we want. With so much at stake, all Americans should be keeping a close watch on their legislators.
