Friday, June 30th, 2006This news story shows another of the problems with the whole Muni WiFi movement. In all honesty the service is not the best, so most people continue to use their paid service that is more reliable and faster.
With the price about the same, there is no motivation to change providers to an unknown.

A Muni Wi-Fi Cautionary Tale
Monday, June 26th, 2006I wondered about this aspect of the Muni WiFi issue last week, when reading about another Muni WiFi, here in the USA, that is having a problem attracting users. The politicians assumed that if they built it, the people would flock to the service and it’s not happening.

Even if the services don’t [...]

Commentary : Next-Generation Internet Not Guaranteed
Friday, June 23rd, 2006For some time now, I felt as if I were a lone voice crying in the wilderness. Today a commentary in Technology News, by Sonia Arrison, covers a lot of the same information I have been writing about for a while, and does so in a clear and concise manner. If you are for government [...]
