Houston Mayor Holds Blogger Phone Conference on WiFi

By Larry Hendrick | May 15, 2006

This evening, Houston’s Mayor, Bill White and the city’s CIO, Richard Lewis, held a telephone conference for Houston bloggers to discuss the Muni WiFi project they are proposing. The RFPs are due tomorrow and I am very interested in seeing the response they get.

Lewis said that sixty-five companies attended the pre-bid meeting and they are expecting a lot of good proposals.

I did record the call and plan on making it available as a podcast in the next day or so on this site. If you are interested in what they are saying, you can hear their own words, unedited.
