Google Buys SketchUp; Google To Map The World in 3D?

Another interesting purchase by Google as it continues to acquire companies that will benefit it’s advertising business model. SketchUp developed a plugin that works with Google Earth, so the product is a good fit.

Hot off the Google Blog we are told that Google has purchased SketchUp. SketchUp is basically a very very easy to use CAD program. They have recently released a SketchUp Google Earth Plugin that enables you to create 3D models of the objects within Google Earth.
