What a great trick to have up your sleeve. This happens to me all the time, but it will not slow me down any more. Just use the cache: hack

Don’t you just hate it when a web site is down the moment you need information on it? Luckily Google saves snapshots of web pages that you can easily access using the cache operator.
So, if you wanted to see Google’s cached version of Lifehacker, you’d search for:
cache:lifehacker.com
