Sales of TV shows on DVD soar in U.S. - PittsburghLIVE.com

A British report says Americans spent $2.8 billion buying TV shows on DVD in 2004, up from just $160 million in 2000, making it the fastest-growing sector.

The TV-DVD sector accounted for 18 percent of the U.S. disk retail market last year, says Variety magazine, quoting figures from Adams Media Research and Screen Digest.
