Slumping Ticket Sales

The last time we saw a story like this, the movie industry announced that the reason for the slumping ticket sales was “pirated” DVDs. Now the first paragraph states it “your” fault. You would rather watch movies at home than go to the theater and pay 7 bucks each for tickets and 9 bucks each for popcorn and a drink.

Despite banking blockbusters such as the final Star Wars episode and the prequel to Batman, movie theater ticket sales are down about 7 percent this year, according to Nielsen Entertainment, a company that measures box office ticket sales.
We will need to watch this story for further evidence of who is to blame for this. (let’s see…bad movies, bad sequels, hmmm…)
