Todays Toastmaster Speech Recording
By Larry Hendrick | June 8, 2005
Today (Noon, Wednesday) is the day The League City Toastmasters meets at Regal Estates. The speech I delivered today was part of the reason for doing the podcast series on this blog. I recorded the speech today while presenting it and plan to post it by this weekend.
I listened to the raw recording late this afternoon and I am always shocked by the voice coming back at me through the speakers. I usually feel pretty good about my speeches, but in listening to the recording, I get to hear all the mistakes and come face to face with what I forgot to say. WOW! This is not necessarily a good thing.
The previous speeches were excellent and delivered close to perfection, at least that’s the way I choose to remember them.
Reality can be brutal…

As a fellow Toastmaster, could I ask a favor?
I have a new blog and would like your feedback on it, if you think it could be helpful to novice speakers, others.

Dave, it looks like a great start on your blog. Just be persistent and keep up the good work.
Since this article was posted, I started another site called Motivation on the Run (see sidbar) and do a weekly podcast. Included in these are several of my Toastmaster speeches from the last year.
