The First Test Podcast

By Larry Hendrick | May 23, 2005

Here it is! The very first test upload of a podcast. The conversion process was fairly painless and easy to do. I have recorded the wav file in Audacity and converted it to an MP3 file using the LAME converter.

The settings in Audacity are as follows: 44100Hz, Mono, 32bit floating
I converted it to a 32bit MP3 file and at 3:31 minutes the file is 830KB in size. If this works you should be able to click the link and either listen on your computer’s MP3 player or move to a portable player.

Test Podcast1

Download the file and listen and let me know how it sounds. The file just explains what the process is and reinterates what the project consists of. I will be doing another test where I will finalize the settings and announce the subject of the main course.

You can leave a comment about the sound quality and the file size and I will use that to refine.

Have a great listen…

Well, I thought it sounded great. I thought it sounded as good as any radio program I’ve heard. You’ve got a radio-friendly voice as well. But relax…you sounded somewhat stiff. Have more fun with it. K
