Some Commutes are Better than Others

By Larry Hendrick | May 2, 2005

On some days, the drive to work is more fun than others. My commute takes about 18-20 minutes and is never very bad with traffic. I listen to “Palmcasts” over the speakers in the car and enjoy the drive.

This morning, I am waiting for a left turn signal, when a bright, red, Chevrolet pickup went by in the lane going straight. I almost chocked on my own saliva as I “hooted” out loud!

Why was I “hooting?” What makes this worthy? Well, the pickup had a huge magnetic sign on the tailgate which read

VERIZON SUCKS

That’s it, no other details. I can’t wait to see him again where I can get beside him and find out “The Rest of the Story.” I also look forward to catching up with him with my camera phone so a picture can be offered as proof.

It should be good…
