Curious about DirectTV Tivo

By Larry Hendrick | April 18, 2005

Some companies want to make it as hard as they can to gather information about their services and products. I urge you to go look at your site from the customer or prospect’s point of view.

For several months now, I have been interested in the Tivo service from DirectTV. Where we live, DirectTV is furnished as part of the monthly expense, but not with Tivo and the more I hear and read about the time shifting from Tivo, the more I am interested.

I have been to DirectTV’s website and have followed every link I can find that pertains to Tivo, used search to try to find hidden pages and still know nothing about their plan or what all you can do. All the links lead to pages that say the same thing.

This is the complete text from their website and after reading it, I am still wondering what they offer. Now mind you, I am not the subscriber, I just want to buy the unit from them and hook it up to their service. I do not have a user name and password, or even an account number to reference. Not happening! Has anyone experienced this from them? Let me know…thanks.
