2/11/2005 04:49:00 PM|||Larry||| I have been looking forward to this weekend for awhile. We will be gathering to celebrate the granddaughter's 2nd birthday. A milestone of great importance to both the parents and the grandparents.
For the parents, it signals the beginning of the "twos" and you can put just about any adjective before this to complete the phrase. And the adjective does not have to be nice or polite. Terrible is one that comes to mind rather quickly, but there are others, which will be left to your imagination.
For the grandparents, it signals the time in the granddaughter's life when they begin to remember who you are and anticipate seeing you and talking to you. They are aware of their surroundings and what is going on. She had been at this point for awhile, but this is a measurable milestone for such things.
WOW! Two years since she came home. It sure flies by fast, but what a country where we can get together and share a great moment with the extended family.
