11/18/2004 04:06:32 PM|||Larry||| Well, the day started off in the usual manner except for all that happened. The electricity went of last night so the shower was fun and sleep was not deep. That fear in the back of the mind of over sleeping. It could happen. Then at work the problems persisted. The Cisco chassis replacement went off without a hitch on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning and was complete by 2am. This eased everyone's mind for a chore completed.
5am rolls around and the phones start ringing because the DSL is down. It seems that the Big Riverstone decided to go on break. "I will not route today and you can't make me." Well after many hours and a forced OS upgrade most customers came back up. However, about 2 - 3 dozen customers are still down and call every 30 minutes, so that by answering the phone, we can not actually work on the problem that is causing them to be down. Ironic, but real life happening. Some more changes in the router that are supposed to resolve the problem, but we will see. Several telephone calles confirm that most are up and working, but a few persistant ones remain down.
