My story is either short and sweet, or long and sour, depending on whom you talk to. I have owned three different businesses through the years and am always actively looking for opportunities. I have worked at many different jobs, managed by a lot of different people.
I am a salesman and have worked for companies both large and small, local and national. I have been motivated wrong by all managers and that is the reason for my interest in how to properly motivate people. As a professional salesman, and a sales manager for a large International Company, I have been in the trenches and was even told by a Regional Vice President that I was “not mean enough” for his taste. He subscribed to the Vince Lombardi method of beating the minions into submission and would never think of giving a complement to anyone.
This website is to be the opposite of Vince Lombardi and will take the Tom Landry approach of getting to know the players and motivating by caring. A very useful tact when given a chance.
