Selecting Mind Mapping Software……

June 14th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Staz from Knowledge Mapping writes a very good article about his tests of five different mind mapping software packages. He set his criteria, built a scoring system, then scored each application against that standard.

If you are looking at mind mapping software, this review can assist your investigation.

Knowledge Mapping: Selecting Mind Mapping Software……
Ok, now we get into the really interesting side of this little exercise: trying to select just one program in this category to satisfy my selection criteria. All the software, except one, adhere to Buzan’s basic mind map design principles, although it may not be very obvious in some cases.

Hi there, it has been a long time since I drop by and looks like you have this place full with inspirational ideas. I really like the idea that you spend so much time and effort to make it news worthy for readers. I for one is a fan. Mindmapping has been in the self development arena for a long while but still it has its many advantages. There are many softwares that make it more accessible and user-friendly. However, personally I feel the best way to do a mind map is using a piece of paper with some color pencils. It's the paper feeling that makes the whole difference. It's the intimate involvement on paper that makes it really a mindmap. That's just my 2 cents. Anyway, keep it up and looking forward for more of your work. PS: Btw, will you publish a book one day? I am trying to write mine, feel free to check a sample of chapter 1 at http://www.pursuitofsuccess.com . Thanks and appreciate for sharing.

Darren, thank you for visiting and commenting. Several friends agree with you on mind mapping with paper, but I've never even tried.

I started with electronic and have stayed there, using many different software applications in this year of learning.
