Somehow, I missed reading any of Og Mandino’s books, but can now say, that problem is remedied. I recently checked out two Og Mandino books from the local library in League City (even with their limited selection).
I find his style relaxed and passionate as he creates a learning environment that sucks you in, weaving a fictional story complete with lessons for life and sales. I wouldn’t call them how-to books, but if you read with a discerning mind, you will learn how-to.
How Did I Miss Og?
I kept seeing Mandino’s name crop up on sites I read, and finally took the time to investigate. I’m glad I did. You can visit the Recent Books in the right side column to see which books I’ve read so far.
As as avid reader, I have read many books on sales, motivation, leadership, and management and have enjoyed many authors works. Brian Tracy, Jeff Gitomer, and Jay Conrad Levinson are a few of my favorites, writing books that have immediate application for a salesman. From psychology to guerrillas, the authors write tight and useful books, but Mandino’s style is completely different. I guess that’s what makes it so refreshing.
You haven’t picked up an Og Mandino book yet? What are you waiting for?
