Now is the Time to Reflect and Prioritize

You’ve reflected on the past year and recorded the successes. You’ve written the list of goals for 2007 and now there is one thing left to do … establish your priorities.

Sure you want to earn more money in 2007 and advance your career to the next level, but remember to set your family goals and your personal development goals, then get then lined up in order of importance.

Where do you want your relationship with your spouse to be by December of 2007? Do you spend time with your children regularly? One fallacy promoted several years ago was “quality time” rather than quantity time. The more time, the better, I promise!

So how do you keep your family and personal goals from taking second place to your work and career goals? Use the calendar to schedule dates with your spouse and time with your children, them give them a high priority. You schedule your work appointments, so why not your personal ones. It’s important!
