Gene Ference says it’s a lot easier than you think to succeed at your job. His article is directed at a particular group (hotel, resort, etc), but I think some of what he says translates to other businesses and jobs. In fact, he has broken it down to two skill sets, Professional and Organizational. Each has a list of items and explanations of each.
