In the name of fairness, I thougt I’d link to this article about the Get Motivated seminars, which were in Des Moines recently. The author, Ken Fuson, slams just about everyone scheduled to speak with personal jabs at Zig Ziglar, George Forman, and Rudi Giuliani, and Steve Forbes.

How are we going to do that? I’m very glad you asked. I’m smiling so wide, it looks like there’s a coat hanger stuck in my mouth.

You are going to give me your money so I can motivate you.

To do what? Anything, silly. The sky’s the limit. Dream big. Reach for the stars. Never take no for an answer. When life gets you lemons, make a lemon-meringue pie, then throw that pie right back into life’s big fat phony face.

I decided to become a motivational speaker the second I read that 18,000 people are expected to attend the “Get Motivated” seminar Monday at Wells Fargo Arena.
