How to Win Friends & Influence People – A Guide and Summary

January 15th, 2006 · No Comments

I ran across this link at Be Excellent and had to pass it on to you. Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People is the standard by which other books and programs are judged. This is a very good summary and will whet your appetite to read the entire book.

How to Win Friends & Influence People – A Guide and Summary

Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People was a first in the interpersonal skills category. The book was on the NYT best sellers list for 10 years and has sold over 15,000,000 copies (source). These summary notes will help you master the ideas in the book.

Carnegie implored his readers to be sincere always — to see people and relationships as ends in themselves rather than as the means to an ends. Learning social skills only becomes manipulation when you see others as the means to your ends.
