GE turns to the ‘Jolps’ for military-style executive leadership - 2005-12-26
Susan Kratch said her “passion” for the General Electric Co. is about as intense as that of military officers toward their branches of the service and their country.
Her mission, through GE’s Junior Officer Leadership Program, is to find the best and the brightest of those officers as they are leaving active duty and to transfer their loyalties to GE.
Thirty-two former military officers are currently in the program, immersing themselves for two years in the culture of GE and getting a taste of various jobs within the corporate giant.
