The interesting part about setting up a blog site is all the decisions you have to make. What platform do you want to use, what theme or look, what features will provide the best feel? It seems to take quite a while to get all this in place, first in the mind and then on the site. Each blog I have done starts to come together after a while and it develops its own voice and personality.
When I started Motivation on the Run, I wanted a blog that was active, eye catching, and would motivate to action. The theme in use was originally set up as a “placeholder” for the site. Then I customized some of the code, changed the look by putting a different picture for the header and added the quotes on the side of the page. All the while trying to determine what I wanted the site to look like. I kept going through the different “themes” that were available for WordPress and this template
Inspiration finally hit last week and I have been working on getting the new look up since then. Another picture and a little code change and BAM!, a new blog site. I really like the new look and hope those of you that use an RSS reader will stop by and make a comment on the look. I still need to add the quotes html into the new theme, but I will work on that this weekend and have that running again.
This does not signal a shift in the direction of the blog or podcast, but does finish the design I was looking for.
Thanks for stopping by…
