I’m motivating again. I start out talking about how hard podcasting can be (you’ll have to listen), another store visit and how much fun retail must be, and I finally get to some information from one of the studies from a real live company and real live people.
I do finally get around to answering the teaser question from last week, you remember…on the survey the top 5 rated most motivating programs and the top 5 most de-motivating programs and the number one item on both lists is the same thing. I use the study to hold up a mirror to more from the article from Selling Power magazine titled, The 24-carrot Motivation. It is an article about the book The 24-Carrot Manager by Gostick and Eldon. They have a lot of insight and the study backs them up.
