Motivation on the Run #5 is up and ready for your pleasure. This week we define a few words and tie them together for our purpose. There’s also a little about Lance Armstrong and this year’s Tour de France.
SHOW NOTES
1st some definitions.
Motivation:
1. the psychological feature that arouses an organism to action toward a desired goal;
2. that which gives purpose and direction to behavior
3. the act of giving somebody a reason or incentive to do something
4. a feeling of enthusiasm, interest, or commitment that makes somebody want to do something, or something that causes such a feeling
Goals Definition:
1. the place designated as the end
2. something that somebody wants to achieve
3. The purpose toward which an endeavor is directed; an objective
Determination! = “quality of being resolute” (resolute = firm in purpose or belief)
What’s the application? Lance Armstrong! Saturday and Sunday in the 2 hardest stages of the TdF, his competitors thought to punish, but were punished themselves.
