Here is Motivation on the Run #4 where I finish looking at the four personality types. I finished the dominant and the expressive two weeks ago, and today I talk about the solid and the analytical. I look at a story of motivation and have another personal experience with a retail store. Enjoy and make sure and leave a comment.
SHOW NOTES
Welcome to Motivation on the Run
In researching for this week’s show, I ran across several interesting articles. I find it interesting the ways people are trying to motivate others. Schools are offering iPods, colleges are using laptops and music. Everyone is trying to motivate someone. Coaches-players, government-doctors, schools and colleges-students, financial markets-buyers, employers-employees.
1. Dominant
2. Expressive
3. Solid
4. Analytical
Marines Motivate Students at Springfield Elementary Field Day
by Janet Hammes
Marine & Family Services
As students at Springfield Estates Elementary School, Springfield, Va. counted down the days to their annual Field Day event, they continually asked, “Are the Marines coming?!”
Cathy Conte, event organizer, relayed that the children were looking forward to the Marines assisting with their sporting events again this year.
“The Marines are especially good with the children at the Tug-Of-War and the Obstacle Course,” stated Conte. “The Marines bring challenge and motivation to our students.”
Personal with Walmart. The Redhead and I went to buy groceries and we were not “greeted” at the door. There was a grandmotherly lady there, but she was not greeting anyone.
Is this the beginning of the end for Walmart?
